Two years, one stage, one of Belgium's most recognizable brands. Delhaize trusted Het Peloton and their team to produce their end-of-year event in Brussels, where store owners gather to reflect on the year and look ahead. My visuals ran on the big screens throughout the keynote, serving as intros, transitions, SVOs, countdowns and award moments. In 2025 the setup got more ambitious with a multi-screen configuration, and so did the motion.

Working with a brand like Delhaize means respecting a tight set of guidelines while still finding room to make things feel alive. In 2024 I studied their brand book closely and built on the visual language established the year before. For 2025 I took a more proactive approach, pitching a refreshed direction that played with their two main fonts and the layered brand styles in a typographic animation system. It got approved, and the result was a noticeable step forward. Same brand, sharper motion.
Collaborating with Het Peloton made the whole process feel grounded. They have a rare ability to translate client needs without killing creative ambition, which gave me the space to propose directions that pushed boundaries. Feedback was always precise, even when adjustments were significant, which meant every iteration moved the project forward rather than in circles.
Working at this scale was intimidating at first. But that discomfort is where the growth happened. These two editions taught me more than I expected and built a confidence that now shows in everything I make.

All animations were built in After Effects, but the real work was in the problem solving. For 2024 I developed a custom Essential Graphics template to automate a cut-out effect across multiple assets, keeping the workflow clean and consistent without sacrificing quality. For 2025 I used the same logic to crack a bigger challenge: animating individual letters of Delhaize's brand fonts before native support existed in After Effects. One letter, one template, infinite combinations.
The 2025 multi-screen setup added another layer of complexity. With a wide center screen flanked by two vertical panels at a distance, I had the opportunity to use the space between screens as part of the animation itself. By delaying movements across the gap, the visuals felt like they existed in the actual physical space of the stage. It took iterations to get right, but the result was something special.
Each edition delivered around 8 to 12 assets over 2 to 4 weeks. From the welcome sequence to award transitions, every piece had to feel worthy of the stage it played on. Picking a favorite is like choosing between kids. But the lion award transition comes close.
